It's almost time to ring in the new year - goodbye 2023, hello 2024! And, while New Year's Eve is an exciting time to celebrate, it can also cause some stress for your furry friend. 

Here are a few NYE tips to make the night fun and safe for your pet.

🐶 Create a safe and calm place for your pet

‍The noise of NYE can cause anxiety and stress for your pet. If they're feeling nervous during the celebrations, place them in a familiar and cozy area such as your bedroom. Give them treats, toys and you can even turn on the TV or play music to block out the sound of fireworks. 

🚫 Keep alcohol and food out of your pet's reach

‍Alcohol and seasonal treats, such as chocolate, are extremely dangerous for your furry friend to ingest. Make sure that your pet has plenty of their own food and remind your guests to not feed your pet from the table. 

🐾 Secure your home before leaving your pet

‍If you're going out to celebrate and leaving your pet at home, make sure that everything is secure and do what you can to make your pet feel comfortable. Remove anything that can be harmful and create a space for them to relax.
